The Port of Singapore is not only
the busiest port on Planet Earth
by most measures, it also ranks
at or near the top for when
measuring efficiency with
metrics such as TEUs per crane,
TEUs per acre and TEUs per
meter of berth. That's known
formally in mathematics as not
only knowing what to do, but
doing it better than anyone else.
The achievement is all the more
remarkable because intermodal
transport is a global competition.
