As nearly as we can determine,
the Keterapi Tanah Melayu
Berhad (KTMB) railroad can
transport passengers and freight
to and from Malaysia, while the
Eastern and Oriental is strictly a
passenger line. The KTMB can
move a total of 54 TEUs per trip,
with an average of 1,500 TEUs
weekly. Cargoes now are steel,
chemicals, gypsum boards,
machinery, electronic products
and consumer goods.
Use of trains would depend not
only on the 1000 meter
Singapore-Johore Causeway but
on usable rails on both ends.  If
the Malacca Straits are blocked if
it unclear how rail will be an asset
